Do you actually need both Selank and Dihexa

Ever stack two peptides in your protocol just because they showed up on the same forum thread? Selank and Dihexa get lumped together as "cognitive peptides," but they are NOT cousins, and they are definitely NOT a matched pair. Short answer: no, you don't need both Selank and Dihexa, because they solve two completely different problems, and right now only one of them has real evidence standing behind it.

What each one is actually trying to do

Selank calms your nervous system down. Dihexa is supposed to build brand new wiring in your brain. Different jobs. Not overlapping ones.

Selank is a Russian-developed anxiolytic peptide, approved in Russia for generalized anxiety disorder, that works through a triple pathway: it boosts BDNF (the protein your brain uses to grow and repair itself), it slows the breakdown of your own natural opioids, and it recalibrates how your serotonin and dopamine systems respond. No sedation. No cognitive fog. NOTHING clouding your head the next morning. That's the whole reason folks reach for it over a benzodiazepine.

Dihexa is chasing something completely different: synaptogenesis, meaning it's supposed to physically grow new connection-and-wiring stuff between neurons. Big claim. HUGE claim, honestly. The pitch has always been "the most potent nootropic ever discovered."

Here's the thing nobody tells you upfront: chasing Dihexa's big promise before you've handled the basics is like hanging crown moldings on a house with no foundation poured yet. So, do you actually need both?

For most people, nope. If anxiety, rumination, or a noisy brain at night is the actual target, Selank is the tool with the trial data to back it up. Dihexa's synaptogenesis story might turn out to be real someday, but "someday" is doing a lot of work in that sentence, and this is a marathon, not a sprint, for the research to catch back up to the hype. That's a hugely different bet than the one you're making with Selank.
